Our Mother of Pearl Collection is inspired by the venerated practice of inlay, in which pieces of contrasting materials are embedded into a base object to form intricate patterns, like the ones we created in this set of Cheese Knives. The technique of inlay dates back over 3,000 years to Ancient Egypt.
